Regular Practices of “Malemolência”
Ground, Pelvis and Movement

Malemolência is a Brazilian word for moving with grounded ease and flow. I choose to insist on not translating it, because it is one of those untranslatable words that carry subjectivity, rhythm, and embodied meaning.
By keeping malemolência in Portuguese, I also bring my roots and lived experience into the practice as a Latin American woman living in Europe.

This is a weekly online practice I've maintained since 2020, which has now gained its own name, reaffirming another aspect of my research.

Regular Practices of "Malemolência" are movement classes dedicated to maintaining a quality of attention, presence, and listening in the body. A somatic practice of insistence on building a resilient and joyful body, where insistence emerges as an act of maintaining trust.
The classes propose paths from the floor to the vertical, investigating how the body organizes itself based on support and how it establishes relationships with itself and the environment. From contact with what supports us, we open space for the swing of pelvic movement as a portal of expansion, playfulness, and power, recognizing pleasure and joy as practices of healing and repair.
My intention is to foster a safe environment where each person can recognize their own internal ecology, their rhythms, desires, limits, and possibilities, cultivating a space for returning to the body in daily life. It's a regular maintenance process, not guided by the logic of physical training, but by building presence, attention, and freedom of expression.
Classes are open to everyone, no prior experience necessary.
